twist rate
« on: November 20, 2008, 06:10:23 AM »
with out getting up and checking it out again, if i remember right the twist rate on my enfield 303 was a 1-12. somebody correct me if i'm wrong. my question is with that twist, what would be the smallest weight bullet i could load into it and be accurate? i'm thinking on trying 123 gr. hornady soft points. all info is appreciated.

Twist rate is 1-10".

Try 25 gr 4759 for an AK/SKS equivelent 2300+ fps load.

Try 47 gr 4895 for a faster "varmint" load in the 2800 fps range.

Work up to both loads in your rifle as usual reloading precaution.
