The Inertia stlye (hammer) puller works great for a few rounds. More than that I have a RCBS collett puller that in very nice but leaves a mark on the bullet... the pulled bullets seem to be as accurate as before the marks.
I have a friend that has a Hornady puller with the lever... if I had used the Hornady first no doubt I would have purchased it instead of the RCBS. Oh yea... I loved the RCBS until I tried the Hornady.

I agree with HT , if you only need to do a few then the ol-wac-a-mole works fine but for a bunch you can't beat the Hornady , not as cheap as the hammer style but does a wonderful job .

I use an RCBS collet puller.  Ideally, you shouldn't need a puller - but I confess to having to pull my share of mistakes.

Inertial pullers are difficult to use with light bullets; there's just not enough bullet mass to generate enough inertia to pull it.

I heartily recommend the Hornady Cam-lock bullet puller. Once set and locked, they do not lose adjustment, and consistently pull bullets very quickly. A simple flip of the cam lever is all it takes...

I have the RCBS with collets for the calibers I have. It was on sale when I bought it and did not know if the Hornady was any good or not. I think the Hornady is easier to use over all, but the RCBS is easy too, once you get it adjusted correctly. One thing I do like about the RCBS is I can put a little pressure on or a lot, depending on how much I turn the handle and how hard the bullets are to pull.

I use the Forster collet pullet, which I think is pretty similar to the RCBS. I also have the hammer type.

The hammer type are also good if you have mistakenly seated a bullet too deep.

"I loved the RCBS until I tried the Hornady."

Yeah.  Lots of folks love RCBS tools best until they seriously try something else.

Get the Cam-Lok puller for volume work, especially for rifle stuff.

For my purposes (I don't redo a lot) the impact puller works great, except for my 500 S&W rounds. None I have seen do more than .45. Is there one that will do 50s?

I only have a hammer type and adjusting bullet seating depth is it's main use. There's an oak stump in my yard and it's the best striking object I've found.

There is a kenetic (hammer style) puller called SmartReloader Bullet Puller-SR1750 that claims to be able to pull all bullets from .17 to .50 caliber. Here's a link to one on Midsouth Shooters:

or Google SmartReloader bullet puller.

RCBS makes a .50 caliber puller collet for their's.

The only reason I needed the collett puller was I was given 500 reloads and I did not want to shoot reloads from an unknown source.

So far I have not screwed up enough of my own reloads to need more than the hammer style.

Thanks all,
I'm going to order the Hornady puller..   I wouldn't need it but as I said. I sold the rifle that I had all these Max loads for.   Thanks for the advice.
