They are made in China, but so are some other decent scopes, Mueller for instance. I bought one of the Cabela's LE scopes for my .444 last year, it was a disappointment, in centering the reticle the turret adjustment ran out of travel long before it was centered, not locked, just stopped turning any further. While it has lots of eye relief, the eye box is very narrow and you must have your eye in just the right place to get a full view which is typical of other cheap scopes with the thick black halo around the field of view which appeared much smaller than other entry level good scopes like the Nikon Prostaff BDC which aren't much more in cost, which is what I put on the rifle after returning the LE scope to Cabelas.
