I've used nothing but Thunderhead 125s for the last 25-30 years. Any cut on contact broadhead will work fine. I'd avoid mechanicals personally. I prefer broadheads with thick replaceable blades like the Thunderhead so I don't have to mess with sharpening.

If you would like to try mechanicals, the Rage slipcam broadheads are great. They are guaranteed to be deployed upon impact, cut a huge hole, and fly like a field point. I prefer the 2" cut two-blades.

I am a huge fan of the Muzzy 100 grain 3 bladed model. I have had nothing but good luck using them on whitetails.

My first vote would be Muzzy my second would be Thunderheads.

My preference is either the Magnus 100 gr. 2 blade or any similar two blade broadhead. Bear made a good one and even on it I took the extra bleeder blades off them. I can sharpen them easily and generally they sing right thru deer. My broadheads have to do double duty, deer and feral hogs so I like tough, sharp 2 blade heads. Long live Ted Nugent!
