A cousin sent me an e-mail the other day describing a weird observance...he,his wife and their daughter was witnesses.  On the surface of a large creek (think river) in Alabama they saw two blue cats about forty pounds apiece ,one had the other ones head in its mouth up to it eyes!  He tried to net one of them and was thoroughly splashed.  They separated and dove.
Anybody observed any such behavior???

Up here in Wisconsin a few years back there was a 37" northern that tried to eat a 38" northern. Someone found the two dead and it was in the local newspaper. If a fish opens its mouth wide open I don't think it can spit anything back out, especially fish with teeth. That's my theary.

I was sitting on the steep river bank fishen for cats once, went to rebait when i noticed a big bull frog and another one about half his size sitting side by side below me.I dangled the bare hook between them, they both jumped at it about the same time.
Next thing i know is the bigger one has the smaller one in his mouth by the head. The smaller one had his web toes stuck in the bigger ones eyes pushen for all he had trying to escape.
It took the big one a better part of a half hour but he swallowed the smaller one that was at least half his size or maybe a littler bigger than that.
The big one really did look big after his meal.Who knows how long them 2 set side by side with out the notion of one of them becoming the others dinner.Goofy frogs :)
