NOT A GOOD DAY AT THE RANGE
« on: September 29, 2008, 04:55:24 PM »
I went sunday afternoon to shoot my encore with the 264winchester barrel and my 6.5x55 barrel. I couldnot get either one to group good the way they shot last fall the only thing I have done is to clean the barrels and change them out. The weather was in the middle 80's and hummidity was pretty high also just wondering if the weather could effect them that much.

When I change out my barrel from black powder to my .223 the way I tighten the forearm screw makes a big differance..I am going to try to locate a torque wrench that measure's in inch pounds so as to get it back the same every time. In the meantime I bought the barrel quick release with the studs that go on the barrel.s and then cam lock in place.. and then the speacial forearm.supposed to eleminate this problem..Maybe this could be a contributing factor in your case.Drop
