i bought a gp100 used also , cost  to cost i did better on  it then a new taurus , resale will be better ? they shoot great also

I had 7 shots through a friends 4 inch Tracker and liked its feel. Saw a used SS for sale, and hope to pick it up next week when my permit arrives. I hope it shoots as well as my friend's. I have been very happy with my other Taurus revolvers. Pete

I believe that's the one I had if it's the Ti Tracker version. There should be a review of it somewhere on the Taurus Forum or Product General Discussion forum or both. Mine was a really good one and I liked it quite well. It along with my two RBs are what got me to recommending Taurus guns so highly. Then their quality went to pot and all I seemed to be able to get was junk from them. But that was one good Taurus that I had.

I picked my 4" Tracker .357 on Tuesday. After handling it for a few hours,  I decided to put a Hogue grip on it. It fells better in my hand.  I hope to get to the range on saturday- Pete

Got mine this week.  $395 + tax here in Houston.  Looks REAL nice.  Had a really heavy, gritty trigger pull feel when I was dry firing in double action.  I treated the mechanism with Breakfree and let it sit a few days before firing.  I do this with all my new guns to smooth them up.  Shot it last night at the range and it is absolutely the most accurate, best shooting .357 I have ever shot.  The double action trigger pull was fine and very smooth after a little shooting.  I ran a couple of hundred rounds through it, mostly Magtech 158 Gr.  Shot a box of Remington 158 Gr.  Both shot great.  The Remington rounds have enough muzzle flash to start a forest fire.    .38 Specials shot great too.  The muzzle brake really works.  The .357 / .38 has always been my favorite caliber.  I am an old man and I have shot hundred of pistols.  When I die, my wife can give my 627 to her new boyfriend.  That's how much I like it.

I am also looking at getting one of the 357 trackers, but have seen people in other forums complaining about getting blowback in their face from the porting?  Is that a concern?  Have any of you folks experienced that?  I dont were glasses and want this as a woods carry gun, where more than likely, I wont have my shooting glasses with me.

You can definitely feel the concussion from the ports, but I've never experience blowback with my taurus.  It isn't designed like a shark break, so all the exhaust goes straight up, not back toward you.  I think that most people are mixing up concussion and blowback, and just think it is gasses when the force hits their face.

Dad had 1 He could not hit anything with it , so He asked Me to shoot it. Offhand at about 20-25yds. 7 shots about 1in high a big 3in hole. Dad had 38`s and 357 and POA is all that moved I loved this gun,I tried to buy it from Him but, He took it back to gun shop that He got it from and sold it for $125. He is 69 and can`t see the sights and the traget at same time Soooooooooo it it gone........

I am very happy with mine. It shoots well, though I have had 4 failures to fire ( out of 350 shots) when shooting fast double action. It may be my fault. - Pete
