Man, its coming quick.  September and October will be here soon.  What have you got planned for fall trips?

There's Fishing and then there's Bass Fishing
Its kinda like the difference between Sandlot Baseball and Playing on the Team.
The difference is Practice

Got a few tourneys here in the fall that I wouldn't miss for anything. Love when them bass ball up the baitfish.  John

Who's getting ready for Fall Bassin?

Lastyear I stopped fishing in September to do other things but this year I bought more new natural color lures and got into using plastics more so I'm ready for the fall frenzy.  And its paying off already I nailed a 4 1/2lb and a 1 1/2lb  LM bass this morning on a red senko.  Everyone else caught nothing like I said before this spot is fished so heavy.  Plus there are very few good fisherman here most just stay with one bait for nothing.  I'm not the best nor as good as I want to be but I'm learning new baits(patterns & presentations) which keeps me out of a slump.   Plus its how to fish the place too using the points, channel and weedlines to our advantage.                                                BigBill

One of my buddies there who I try to help never really sees me catch fish he's not there when i do.  I was talking about hunting this week(thurs.) and out of the blue he says to me I hope your a better hunter than a fisherman. I didn't say anything but last friday one 5lber, Sun. one small pickerel & one bass, Tue. one 4lb bass & one 25" pickerel, today one 4lb bass and one 1 1/2 lb bass its picking up plus I'm learning what to use too.  So he caught nothing and he just watches me catching fish!!!!!!!!
He uses a fly and says he out fishes the pro's on tv because he catches so many BREAM??  I told him bream don't count when your bass fishing?? I never brag nor put anyone down but I'm sure spanking him for what he said and he deserves it!!!!!  I let my fishing do my talking!!! I'm just practicing my patterns honing my skills for when my son takes me out with the boat.
