Well that's good shooting b44.  Looks like you're set to make meat.  Good luck.  I feel your excitement.  I'll be taking my first crack at a deer with a flintlock when our season opens in November.

good luck to you semisane. i  went to the range again today shot the 209x50 some more today. i got to shoot at 100yds with the 50 gr. load . im good to go  ;D ;D boy this is a fine shooting gun. about a 3 to 3 1/2 .  3 shot group at 100 off the bench with a 1x28 bushnell trophy red dot i have it set on the circle dot retical. this is not match gun but boy its going to be a great hunting gun . i think im going to use this as my main deer gun this year . then go to the flintlock after christmas .if my shoulder heals up . i use to hunt with a 44mag pistol but i always took a long gun so i never took a shot at a deer with the pistol i always pulled the long gun up and took the long shot so if i only take the pistol i will have no choice but to wait for the close shot  .i took my first shot at a deer last year with my flintlock . i missed clean tried to get a second shot almost did 3 more seconds and i would have . but down over the ridge he went. maybe this year who knows .

Do you have access to a chrony? I'd be very interested to know what that load clocks out at.

In Virginia we can't use BP handguns to hunt.  I  wish they would change that.  You sound like you have a great little settup there.  I would like to know what she is shooting like over a chronograph.  Don't know if I would trust it out to 100 yds. with only 50 grs. of powder though.

A friend of mine has a high dollar BP handgun.  The next time I am at his house we can fun it over my Chrony.  Will post the results after.

Even the most powerful BP handguns are not very powerful.
