Worst case scenario...what will you do?
« on: October 11, 2008, 09:10:16 PM »
What will you do if Obama wins, the Dems obtain a filabuster proof (60 or more) majority in the Senate and Nancy Pelosi expands her domination of the House?

I will invest in 50,000 primers in various sizes and store them in .50 cal ammo cans.  I'll probably also stock up on a few hundred more cases for each of the main calibers I load for and store about 5000 .22LR.  I already cast bullets for nearly everything I own.

Sit back and watch the circus.  Heck, I might even get back into the stock market.  With the so-called mainstream press on their side, the libs will have no trouble talking up the economy and everything else will be praised and ballyhooed to no end.  Most of what has recently gone sideways is to some extent psychological, so with a lot of well applied psychobabble by the complicit media, we'll be just fine and well on our way to socialistic bliss.

According to some here, if Obama gets elected, the world will end. I for one think it might not. I also don't think it will end if McCain wins. I see that both Senators led the way for socialized markets and supported the end of Free Markets in the form of the bail out bill, and both voted for it. So, I think regardless of which one wins, we are ALREADY on our way to socialistic bliss.

My family and I have recently had this discussion in light of the recent financial woes. If McCain is elected, we will take a wait and see attitude. If the other one is elected, there is a different plan.  Between election day and the inaguration we will do the folowing: Bank accounts will be drained and we will hold only cash. No big ticket items will be purchased. Present vehicles will be kept and repaired as needed. Cash will be spent only on necessities. We will preserve cash at all costs.  We will increase our stocks of non perishable food and water. There will be a couple more bulk fuel tanks set up. All bulk tanks will be filled. Another LP tank will be added and filled. Ammo stocks will be greatly increased. A few more black rifles will be added.  Both generators will be tuned up and ready to go. As I live on a farm, I have some advantages as to food and well water. Also lots of timber for fire wood if needed. I am going to do these things because I think if Obama is elected, there will be a severe depression.  He has no experience with financial matters and is basically clueless as to what to do with the economy. I also believe ammo and firearms for private citizens will be in real jeapordy. Have some other plans, but this is getting too long!

I'll wait on the next election......

No doubt we'll suffer the loss of individual liberty and the continued socialization of the United States as well as U.S. Sovereignty.  The worst part would be the legacy of the supreme court which could reflect Obama's policy for many, many years.  Presidential directives are another area of concern.

One man, one vote, except in Ohio and a few other places.

Nuskeg, If you are waiting for the election to start stocking up on primer/powder/brass and extra rifles you may be too late, at the last Tulsa gunshow in the spring the people selling reloading componets and ammo were almost sold out on Sat. and didnt have much to sell for Sun. sold All that they usually bring for a 2 day show.  Just something to think abt.   Jim

This election is not the end of the US. We survived 8 years of clinton and here we are. History always repeats itself remember the carter years? Being prepared is just common sense. Last i checked election is every 4 years. Vote and get your friends to vote and we wont have the Berry issue to debate.

Yeah, we survived the Clinton years, but...
Remember Ruby Ridge and Waco?  Remember the so-called assault weapon ban, and the strong call to ban gun shows?

Remember the appointments of Ginsburg and Breyer to the Supreme Court?  These two legal geniuses voted to suspend private property rights in the Kelo Decision and surely weren't supporters of the Second Amendment recently.  That decision, by the way was only won 5-4.  Keep in mind that 6 of the 9 Justices are over age 65, and Stevens is 88.  It will only take 1 more liberal Justice to gut the Second Amendment.

No doubt that we'll survive, but just surviving doesn't give much comfort.
