Does anyone know if there are replacement safeties for the new 1100 20 guage Synthetic deer guns? I have contacted Remington and they have none available and was wondering if a gunsmith could make one as Remington says you have to replace the entire trigger plate.Would an older safety fit this new gun? Thanks in advance.

Somewhere in the back of my head it seems like the factory safety is reversible. Have you checked into that? Dunno why but it sure seems I recall they are. Being right handed this has never come up for me.

GrayBeard- thanks for the reply. Yes I called the Remington Custom Shop and they are the ones who told me the new style 1100s have a unchangeable safety.You have to buy a new complete trigger plate which they don't offer for a left handed shooter-makes no sense to me !!!! Have to keep looking and checking
