mag block for Sv MK II 22lr youth?
« on: October 22, 2008, 11:46:16 PM »
I just picked up a Savage MKII youth left hand .22lr for my son tonight.  It came with a 10 shot magazine which gets in the way of my son's hand (the gun is still a bit big for this 7 year old).

I got to thinking. My 10 yr old has a CZ scout I gave him. I love the plastic, magazine block that is used to make it a single shot.

I wish Savage would make and provide such a magazine block on their youth .22s.  I'll ask them about it when I call and I may try to make one out of something around the house. Anybody have any suggestions or ideas on this?

Heck my boys can burn up  50 rounds of ammo way too fast with single shots let alone give 'em a magazine.  Though I suppose they could lose a lot of time jamming ammo into the clips.
