I went to a civil war show this last weekend in central CA. They had a replica of the Hunley there. The latest discovery about the sub was that they were not bilge pumping when they died, so it wasnt taking on water. It looks like they died from lack of oxygen. If only the south had came up with it earlier and made a dozen of them, that would have been great.
