These will be sized for three bore sizes in .50, and a couple next year in .45. Word is the .50's will be ready in the next week or two. Little pricey, but a premium bullet usually is.

What amazes me is that folks these days for some reason feel a premium super bullet is needed for muzzle loaders. Lead round balls used to be good enough. All I've ever used are pure lead Buffalo Bullets or their clone the Hornady Great Plains. Never seen a reason for more.

What Graybeard said.

ETA:

$23 per 15 bullets!  Criminy, you can get loaded 30-06 ammunition with the Barnes TSX on it for that price per bullet.

For me, price of the bullet doesn't hurt for hunting season. Sure if you do a lot of paper target shooting it gets expensive.

If hunting deer you are dead on with what I am thinking, (can’t speak for critters I haven't shot) a deer is easy to kill provided good shot placement. My dad shot deer with his 22-250 his last 15-20 years of hunting and he can say he never lost a deer (like I did once and of all things it was a late season doe with my 7 stw??)

But what makes the bullet worth a lil extra to me is when I can take an inline muzzle loader and shoot groups at 200 yards 2" or less with it.... never would have believed it but seeing is believing… That brings a new light into *modern* muzzle loading and really makes the muzzle loading season here in good ole NE unfair especially now that we can use a magnifying scope.

Looks like it is a environmental friendly bullet too!

I wonder if they would shoot good out of my encore ? I would like a bullet that loads easy and shoot well.

I just couldn't handle the cost for a prettified hunk of lead.  Not that I don't have the means, it just seems like a lot of money for not a lot of something.

Bought a Lee loader, cast a bunch, lubed them up and tried them out.  3 to 4 inch groups at 100 propped on a stick.  The bullets are at least as accurate as I am, and probably more so.  If I were going to enter some sort of contest with a prize attached, I might want a better bullet, and some better eyes.  For my type of shooting, this will drop a deer and thats good enough!

I've been looking at them.  I'm guessing lead bullets are going away in every state pretty soon.  The EPA passed some new regs just a couple of days ago.  Lead anything will become a lot more costly to produce under these new regs.  Lead is the new asbestos.  The Greens are ruining our country.  The Jeffersons will be "Movin on Up" to PA Avenue.  Good Times are over for gun owners/hunters for at least the next 4 years.

Solid copper will be the bullet of the future.

I voted for McCain because I like him.  Obama has already won.  The liberal media appointed him.
