Just more BS. For most people around here the first day of deer season is like a national holiday. Many people here take the first 2 or 3 days off work to hunt. Dale

When I was a high schooler, our high school was closed...first day of season.  Today's racism seems to be more with the folks that were originally faced with it. Let's take the blinders off, it appears that McCain has perhaps 55-60% of the white vote, while Obama has what; 90-95% of the black vote ?..what does that tell us ?
        I applaud the courage of those black folks who would have the courage to admit among their peers that they are voting for the more likely competent candidate. John Sidney McCain..and Sarah Palin.

I lived in the highest city in the State for most of my adolescent years, Kane, PA.  Then Millcreek, a suburb of Erie, where I graduated High School.  Most of Erie County was liberal and as I was developing my personal and political conclusions, I moved to Alaska in 1968.  Many Erie residents didnt' hunt, voted liberal, and had few independent thoughts.  Wasn't my kind of thinking.  So I guess Obama and Murths are somewhat correct.  I do cling to my guns, my personal faith, and racist in that I don't like blacks voting for another man just because the candidate is black.  Why does anyone not think this election is about race?  Obama is 1/2 black or Arab and 1/2 white.  Yet he claims to be all black.  His attendance for over 20 years at a church with a manifesto of blacks versus white is still racist.  So, if I'm racist because I disagree with this mentality and political philosophy, so be it.

  I live in the people's republik of NY..abou 25 miles from PA in the second from last western county.Bradford, warren, Coudersport and the National/state forests are south of my county. Don't judge all of PA by the city of Erie ! Shucks, Kane couldn't have been that bad..lots of hunting all 'round there, down through Allegany river/mountains country.
  As in NY State, the cities are "eat-up" as they say in Texas..with liberalism, but the country folks have better sense...

It's not that I didn't like PA, it is because I did and the larger cities were so in political control.  When I left PA, it was the 3rd most populated State in the US.  Now it is 5th and shrinking.  PA at the time was one of only 2 States with more than one city over a million people.  Philly and Pittsberg at #10 on million people list.  Buffalo was not quite a million then.  CA was the other State.  Now Pittsberg is way down on the list due the decreased steel industry.  But the Eastern side of PA like NY is mostly liberal and has influenced the populations centers from Harrisberg East toward that philosophy.  I did like Kane and especially the ridgerunning I did there.  Too bad power grabbing socialists have ruined it.
