Back to the CANDY SHOP
« on: October 26, 2008, 12:27:44 PM »
Took a ride over to the CANDY SHOP again today.
Had to pick up some 270wsm ammo I had on order and what did they have on the wall.
A new 17 hm2 with the black stock and scope rail for $145.00 out the door.
Ammo was $6.95 a box for Hornaday 17 gr VMAX.
The 17 HMR was $189.00 same way.
Ammo for it was $11.95.
There went some more of my money for my custom Blackhawk!
Hope it shoots.
I need a good mess of squirrels!

At that price it's almost free. You spent 100$ taking the family of 4 to a movie. let us know how it shoots

I have a Savage MKII FV in .17HM2 and it is an impressive little pill. If you go to gunbroker you will find Eley ammo for $139/2000rnds. The Eley is also Commonly Cronied at over 2200-2300fps. It's all I shoot, I've got 3500rnds sitting in the closet and may get another case or two after Christmas if it's still at that price. Also so you know the Remington Mach2 ammo is rebadged Eley. Natcheszz is another cheap place.

Mounted a Bushnell 3x9x32 on it and took it out to try and sight it in.
Wind was gusting to over 30 so I was very surprised when I managed to cut a few holes at 50 with it.
Should make a fine small game gun once the wind dies down where I can finish sighting.
Not bad for a windy day and only 22 rounds fired.

I LOVE my little Sportster 17M2... Its BY FAR the most accurate rim fire I have ever shot or seen....

I shot the Chevy Truck for a short time and saw and shot some incredibly accurate 22's. this one blows them away!!

Even if its only half as accurate, your gonna LOVE YOURS!!!

Tom, you're just totally irresponsible.  I have no idea as to why your parents allow you to go to the candy store alone.
Keep both eyes open and make the first shot good.

Oh, I never go alone.
I always take my best hunting buddy.
That way if we see something and one of us is low on funds, well that's what friends are for!
It don't matter who buys it, the other one always gets to use it or winds up with it some how.
Like the new Remington 870 he got three years ago.
I have shoot the thing way more than him.
To date it has had 487 rounds down it and I have shot 329 of them.
All 3" #4 buck, or at least all mine have been.
When we are out cruising the fields in his gator I ride shotgun with it loaded with 3" #4 buck.
This year I killed way more groundhogs with it than I have with a rifle.
Foxes, skunks, possums, coyotes, groundhogs, 9 turkeys and two deer.
It's a little hard on the turkeys!
His shells to!!
Like I said "WHAT ARE FRIENDS FOR"!
