tc service
« on: October 01, 2008, 08:06:07 AM »
just got my encore 209x50 in. I ordered it over the net used and it looks like new when I got it. I was planning on buying cleaning jags etc. when it got here but my transfer guy told me if I'd call tc they would send it all for free. i called tc and they said they would ship all accessories for the encore today no charge. :o :o Will it really have tools I need when it arrives or just a manual??
Thanks,

I'm thinking if they told you "all the acces." You'll get the cleaning jag, and breech tool if I not mistaken. They look at sending you this as an investment. If you are happy, they are hedging their bets that you'll buy more TC's or barrels. The few dollars that it cost them is worth it. And if you don't buy more,,,well your happiness and word of mouth is still worth the cost. I have always thought highly of TC's Customer Service, as I have requested a few things at different times and have asked the price or offered to pay , but they have yet to charge me

That sounds like the same service I get from Thompson Center, Superior!

If it's the old 209x50 breech plug, you can use a 7/16" socket to remove it, no need for the special breech plug wrench.

Although, its nice to carry the special breech plug wrench in the field.

They will probably send you the breech plug wrench, extended cleaning jag, and manual.

Download or view the manual here if you didn't already know:

Just like the tobacco companies, they know how addicting their product is.
