Joe the Plumber METAPHORICALLY RAPED?
« on: October 17, 2008, 05:41:00 PM »
Joe the Plumber walks up to Mr. Obama and asks questions about being taxed for working hard and starting his own business.

RESULTS?

McCain drags his name (Joe the Plumber) around as a shining example of Obama's taxation and spreading the wealth around. It was almost HIS ONLY WEAPON on this last debate. He CONSTANTLY USES HIM (Joe the Plumber) TO DEMONIZE OBAMA, and is in fact USING HIM IN AN EFFORT TO REVIVE HIS CAMPAIGN which is faltering because of his (McCain's) constant waffling on issues when the political winds change. He (McCain) is showing America how unless cornered he gives not a damn how the American people feel or what they want. Examples: No continental shelf drilling. Then the oil prices went up and the heat was on. He fought the overwhelming pressure to concede for a few days standing on his OWN SELFRIGHTOUSNESS, but alas, now he's for drilling on the shelf, pointing the guilty finger at Obama for no drilling. ::)  73% voting record for 26 years, AGAINST the 2nd Amendment. Wanted to OUTLAW GUN SHOWS. VOTED "FOR" CLINTON GUN BAN BOTH TIMES. Now he needs the gun owners' votes, so he's 100% for the 2nd Amendment. Called for the Fireing of the Fed Chairman for letting the economic crisis happen. Then he tried to take credit for spearheading the "bail out" when a day or two prior he was not for it. THEN, Voted YES for the bail out and YES to put the Fed Chairman IN CHARGE. :o  And so on and so on.

BOTH MCCAIN AND OBAMA "IGNORED" THE MILLIONS OF PHONE CALLS TO CAPITAL HILL TELLING THEM "NO BAILOUT"!

MORE RESULTS?

Obama though sticking to his  markist guns on taxing Joe the Plumber is allowing his side to destroy Joe the Plumber and his reputation and his credibility AS AN AMERICAN! Yes! NOW BOTH ARE "USING HIM".

ANOTHER SICKENING EXAMPLE OF POLITICIANS USING JOE THE "ANYBODY" TO FURTHER THEIR OWN POLITICAL CAREERS.

WHEN THE DUST SETTLES AND THE WINNER IS PROCLAIMED, JOE THE PLUMBER, WHOM COULD HAVE BEEN JOE THE "ANYBODY" WILL BE LAYING METAPHORICALLY BLOODY IN THE STREET AS ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF DO ANYTHING TO WIN POLITICS. HIS CRIME? HE ASKED A POLITICIAN A STRAIGHT QUESTION, AND WAS BROKE OVER LIKE A CHEAP SHOTGUN AND "USED BADLY" BY BOTH MCCAIN AND OBAMA WITHOUT HIS PERMISSION. AND IT AIN'T OVER YET.
REGARDLESS OF WHOM WINS, BOTH MCCAIN AND OBAMA WILL CONTINUE ON WITH THEIR POLITICS AS USUAL, AND TO HELL WITH THE PUBLIC AT LARGE, BECAUSE OF THEIR ATTITUDE OF: WE'RE IN CHARGE, BY GOLLY, BECAUSE WE KNOW BETTER THAN YOU THE AMERICAN CITIZEN.

THE ONLY CASUALITY? JOE THE PLUMBER, AKA JOE THE "ANYBODY". AND MOST WILL CONTINUE TO VOTE FOR THESE TWO SCOUNDRELS, AND CONDEM ANYONE WHOM DOESN'T, AS THEY (OBAMA AND MCCAIN) CONTINUE TO PLAY HELL WITH THE CONSTITUTION AND BILL OF RIGHTS. >:(

AS EARL PITTS LIKES TO SAY: WAKE THE HELL UP AMERICA? :( >:(

I do not know yet how badly Joe is damaged.  He may get a book out of it for all I know. Did McCain not ask permission to "use" Joe? I have been quite busy, so I am asking, he may have said that he wasn't asked, If he was not asked, he should not have been used.

So true Dee.  Now the poor guy is drawing more scrutiny by the media than Obama ever has and has also been vetted more thoroughly than McCain ever did any of his VP running mates.

We need more Earl Pitts - that's for sure.  Pitts off!   ;D

45-70gov, while I agree with you on these issues, I ask why McCain gets a free pass, on such issues as his voting record on gun control, his support of the Clinton Gun Ban, his support of Resurrecting the Clinton Gun Ban and wanting it to be permanent. His wanting to BAN Gun Shows, his support of BANNING off shore drilling until he began to slip in the polls, his demand for the firing of the Fed Chairman, and NO BAIL OUT one day, and then suspending his campagin to push for the bail out, and voting for the bail out, and putting the Fed Chairman in charge. The McCain-Fiengold Act regarding sensoring freedom of speech. The reason this man has slipped in the polls is that he has shown himself to be what he says he is against.
WHY? WHY? WHY? Does McCain get a "free pass" on all this? He has been acting like this, and voting like this, for 26 years.
Although I believe Obama to be Socialist, he is an OPEN Socialist, and consistently sticks to his Socialist views. This was PROVEN in the conversation with Joe the Plumber. McCain on the other hand is a candle in the wind. His flame leans in whatever direction it blows too.
Is the American voter so terrified of Obama, that they ignore this "Closet Socialist" McCain?

Don't know what your point is again.... but Like it or not...the government needs money to operate...primarily for debt service , war making, and other programs. You can't be suggesting getting real money from people that don't really have any...can you? Remember what Dillinger said. Btw the way ... there is all kinds of wealth re-distribution going on in this country all the time.  You just saw some with the so-called bail out....except it was having lessors giving more to the have mores.  My favorite is my $12k property tax/yr, plus 10% state income tax on Fed tax liability that gets distributed to gov workers retiring at age 44 with yearly cost of living increases and wrapp around medical.

Jeeze TM7, what state do you live in anyway?  I can't blame anyone for being cynical and sour if that's what you are putting up with.  I don't want you to feel any worse than you do, but there are some places in this great country that aren't taxed nearly as bad as where you are.

I agree about what a liberal Mccain is. He really is a no backbone lieing sob. The fact of the matter is he is just the lesser of two evils. I am undecided on Palin. It's hard to believe the best the rep party could muster was Mccain. We need somebody like Regan back

No you don't know, but others do. You are saying time to take more from the achievers & give to the non-achievers, non working. Don't worry, your guy Obama will have the same opinion you do.

You mean Ronald Reagan our 40th President?  Ronald Reagan the former middle class movie actor, the 33rd Governor of California who never went to a prestigious law school?  One of our best loved Presidents in our nations history, that Reagan?

Where would we find a political candidate for high office who comes from the middle class, doesn't have some fancy law degree and who's only political experience is Governing a city or state?  :-\

"This time the government may be forced to raise taxes on those who have the money."

I'll tell you all a fact...the people who have money don't have to pay the extra taxes, nor to the businesses or corporations.  That's the flaw of it all.
nobody can make them either.  If you have gobs of money you can tie it up in non taxable accounts, and lots of other things till taxes go down..if you own a business you raise the price of the product, and the people pay the tax for you...and if the price of your products have to go too high, you'll move your business to where taxes are lower...like a long ways a way.  Service business woks the same way, pass your tax on by raising your prices.

What's so hard about this?   There are big boats and little boats, if you lower the tide to bring the big boats down, the little boats go down as well.
Anyone fool enough to think you can drag one group of people down and lift another group up has not been paying attention to how it works.

It's foolish enough to want to redistribute money,  and down right dumb for anyone to think you can.  They will just make the poor people poorer by trying it...AGAIN.  We've been through it before.

With this part of your post I agree with, as a former business owner, all said is true. Especially if you are incorporated.

.if you own a business you raise the price of the product, and the people pay the tax for you.

With this part of you post I disagree. If you raise your prices without raising production costs, it does not negate amount of taxes paid, but instead shows an increase in profit, without an increase in production costs.

..and if the price of your products have to go too high, you'll move your business to where taxes are lower...like a long ways a way.

Now this is where NAFTA and GAT bit America in the colon so to speak. This is true. I agree.
Service business woks the same way, pass your tax on by raising your prices.

Once again, you are going to have to show an increase financially in operating costs OR. It will register as profit.
What's so hard about this?   There are big boats and little boats, if you lower the tide to bring the big boats down, the little boats go down as well.

Agree here!

Anyone fool enough to think you can drag one group of people down and lift another group up has not been paying attention to how it works.

I agree here also.

It's foolish enough to want to redistribute money,  and down right dumb for anyone to think you can.  They will just make the poor people poorer by trying it...AGAIN.  We've been through it before.

It is foolish to "want to" redistribute money IF, you want a Democratic Republic! HOWEVER! It is "not foolish" to redistribute money if you want a SOCIALIST-MARKIST Government. YOU CAN REDISTRIBUTE WEALTH. ASK CUBA. They've been doing it for over 30 years.
CONTEXT AND "INTENTIONS" ARE VERY MUCH PARAMOUNT WHEN PAINTING WITH ONLY ONE BRUSH. A NARROW BRUSH I THINK WOULD BE REQUIRED.

If I asked a hard question to Obama instead of Joe...they would have torn me to pieces as well.  Making cash money on the side whenever I could and not paying taxes on it they would find out somehow...(I've done this to make up for the taxes they confiscate, but I guess it's not legal)...
Then I'm sure they could snoop around and find other things as well. (brother is into expensive sniper rifles!).....then somehow they would find out all the stuff I order from Brownells so I can do my own "GUNSMITHING"....by the time they were done I'd be some radical right wing nut for sure...and my family would not be spared either I'm sure.

The lesson to learn from all this is really....if your a regular guy out there, don't question the liberals and make things hard on them, they will tear you to pieces...(ya, they are for the working guy alright, as long as you keep your mouth shut)

The lesson here is not Joe's history or his relatives...it's you best keep your mouth shut and go along with the program, and do not embarrass in any way or make look bad...the media's Messiah.

PS...if they scrutinized Obama himself even half this much...he would have went down in smoke long ago...even before he was a State Senator.

Wait a minute guys. The Fox News has been tearing into Obama for over a year, and that doesn't count their talk shows. As far as spreading the wealth, McCain pushed MUCH HARDER for the bail out than Obama did. Let us put the blame where it belongs. BOTH PARTIES & BOTH CANDIDATES! ;)

Dee, I agree that Fox shows both sides....they will question Obama, then have someone on Obama's side as the other view.
But in this part of Michigan, the Grand rapids press...Detroit press, and anything you lay your eyes on is all New York Times, los Angeles Times, ect...you won't see Obama questioned at all ever on anything.  Ever...Fox does not make up for the massive news paper bias around this State.

Besides...we are mainly talking about this guy Joe here...and how the media would take all of us down if we question the Messiah.....you know it's true Dee.

I also agree about the bail out deal...both parties and both candidates....but that's a different topic than what I was on.

Kudo's to all the people in Congress that voted against it....

Well jimster, like I said somewhere else. A person has to do what he believes is right, and that includes voting his heart.
I do agree that the MASS media is extremely biased toward Obama, and nothing or no one is going to change that. The American people WILL NOT UNITE behind a Pro-Constitution and Pro-Bill of Rights candidate. They are much too divided. We will all just have to suffer together.
