New 32 Mag load question

I currently shoot Hornady 85gr. with reasonable results; but, always open minded. I want to reduce recoil and picked up some 60 gr. Hornady's. I don't readily find loads. Looking for guidance on a load and will this little bullet with min bearing surface work?

Long ago in the stone ages back when I was shooting silhouette competition a lot of folks used the little 71 grain (I think) FMJ bullets for the .32acp in their .32 magnums. This was for NRA Hunter Pistol matches. It worked OK for them and recoil was light enough to use rifle scopes on their TCs. I tried that but never got the accuracy I wanted with them.

I then bought a Lyman 311016 (again I think) mould and began casting my own. This is a now discontinued GC mould that from linotype dropped bullets right at 105 grains as I recall. I loaded them over around 4.5 grains or maybe it was 5.0 grains of W231. I don't recall the exact recipe right now. They gave 2" or less groups at 100 yards and light enough recoil to use rifle scopes on the TC and never rang a ram ever. If I hit a target it fell to the load.

I sure liked the factory loads and used a lot of the Hornady bullets in reloads as well but ended up casting my own and got just as good accuracy and less cost.

started shooting Meister 94gr and get one ragged hole @ 50 yards. The group opens up pretty drastically @ 100. Now what?

Most likely it is a bevel base bullet right?

If so you need to use flat base or gas check bullets. BB bullets just don't cut it at 100 yards.

They're all flat base. I had a little wind; but, my .22 still did well.
