I've owned several Glocks over the years and alot of other handguns also. I am an NRA certified expert and have alot of experiance with handguns. What gets me with all these Special Ops, FBI  and Marine Recon groups with their specialized and custom "Entry" guns that Glock is so close to Perfection. What I would Love to see them come out with is a 10mm based on one of their Tactical formats ie the model 34 and 35. I think a long slide 10mm Glock would be the "Ultimate" Entry, Tactical gun. Just my thoughts, thanks

Welcome to the board! I have to disagree with a couple of points in your post. To begin, I don't believe any pistol would be considered as the ideal entry weapon. That falls in the realm of arms such as the M4, MP5, and shotguns. I own a few Glocks and consider them great tools, but nowhere near "Perfect". The mdls 34/35 are both 9mm platforms, which even Gaston considers inadequate for the 10mm. Some even question it for the .40. The mdl 20 (Glock's 10mm full size platform) can be had with an aftermarket long slide and barrel, making it a 6" pistol. That might be more in line with what you had in mind. The FBI has already found the 10mm unsuited for them due to size and recoil issues anyway. Good Shooting!

I have owned and carried a Glock 21 for a lot of years. It is a big pistol as is. I am not a fan of long slide/barrel pistols, IMO, you lose the advantage of a handgun without gaining the performance of a rifle. When a handgun exceeds 4# or so, I'll just carry a light rifle with a more effective cartridge and better sights. I'm sure someone could build you a long slide to your specs if you're willing to spend the money.

Here is a after market version of the G20L including the additional swelled mag well for IPSC.  This is not my G20L as I do not have one yet but, found this on a 10mm forum board.

those issues were only issues because women and smaller males could not handle the guns... it was not an issue with the guns themselves! Just PC at work!

Real or imagined, it spelled the end of the 10mm as a primary duty caliber for law enforcement in this country.

Here is another G20L, a G21L slide only is available at Lone Wolf Dist this slide of course can be used with the KKM Glock 21 Drop-in 10mm 6".  All internals for the slides must be purchased seperately, but you pretty much have the best of both worlds ordering your 10mm Long Slide this way, because once you have the G21L slide upper just order the extra barrel.
