Would it be possible to drill and tap the original NEF 7/8" breechplug to 1/4'-28, 5/16"-24, 3/8"-24, 7/16"-20 or 1/2" -20 sizes to accept whichever of the most successful breechplugs being made? I'm not sure what dimensions are necessary for sizing the threaded components neccessary to chamber 209 primers [for the 209 BP users] ,.25 ACPs,.22 Hornets or even .32 S&Ws . A variant on that could be one that was threaded for #11 ,or musket caps .Thoughts on all this ,please, and also on the "ideal "dimensions of the flash-hole ,flash-tubes ,flash-chambers ,and recessed counterbore ?
