savage 10 ml scope problem
« on: October 25, 2008, 02:20:58 PM »
I have been having problems with my savage i have to take the scope all the way down to get the cross hairs to be on at 100 yards.. i cant get it shooting any higher because of this has anyone had this problem and is there a base that helps compensate for this.

If you use a standard weaver style base  and Burris Signature rings (the rings with the plastic inserts) you'll be good to go. Burris includes a set of off-set inserts that can be used to move the scope tube, in any direction, by .010" or more. They never bind scope tubes or scratch tubes either.

A very easy solution to your problem.

By the way - shimming a scope base normally causes more problems then it solves.

I had the same problem with my model 10. Varmint hunter is 100% correct in recomending the Burris rings. They worked for me, perfectly.
