  Cphill,

In Utah turkeys are a lottery draw for a single permit. I hunted mine with an old NR Davis & Sons hammer sxs with a black powder load in federal paper hulls #5 shot, it worked just fine, and added an air of nostalgia throughout the whole hunt, I enjoyed the experience.

The Turkey didn't seem to mind that I didn't use a plastic/camoed latest gratest autoloader at all.

I'm not what one would call a "serious turkey hunter" and I generally do use my Winchester pump with 22" barrel, rifle sights 3" chamber and choke tubes but I'd not hesitate to use my 16 gauge sxs or 20 gauge O&U. Our Thanksgiving turkey was supplied by a friend who took it with his 20 gauge flintlock fowler and it ate just fine. ;D
The story of David & Goliath only demonstrates the superiority of ballistic projectiles over hand weapons, poor old Goliath never had a chance.

I have used a Tristar 20 ga O/U for a couple of years now.  Just this year I made the move to extended choke tubes and wow, what a difference.
Just another worthless opinion!!
