.50 Beowulf for bolt guns?
« on: November 01, 2008, 10:29:27 AM »
The .50 Beowulf seems to be gaining a following among black rifle shooters. Checking out the dimensions, it looks like the .300 WSM could be cut back to form the same round, with a full-sized case head. Couldn't this be reloaded using Beowulf dies and a different shell holder? I think I'd kinda like to have a  20" bolt-action in this caliber. Maybe call it the .50 Boromir. In a strong action, it could be loaded a little hotter than the Beowulf. Any opinions?
