Hazmat lic. to buy lead?
« on: September 17, 2008, 01:59:45 PM »
may not be as far fetched as it sounds. The EcoNazis are pushing in this direction.
Green  friendly bullets are getting a lot of press lately in California and Washington state.
Look for lead and stock up now if you reload. From what I read, bullets containing any lead whatsoever
will be included in their legislation. The NRA website has had some press on this in the last
few days also. brass is already expensive for the milsurp's I load for, 3 times the price for bullets is really gonna' suck.

That's the truth. Don't need to worry about grabbing the guns just cut off the ammo. The more it costs the more poeple it will weed out. Start stocking up for a rainy day!!!!!!

Such a ploy clearly shows the intent of the gun haters. Jacking up the cost of ammo will not in any way affect the criminal who can buy or steal a gun with 5 or 6 rounds of ammo and use it for his whole criminal career but will hit hard at the legal shooter who may fire several hundred rounds a day. I can't forget how the NPR folks could hardly conceal their glee when UPS announced they would no longer ship handguns by ground. The fee for overnight air shipment adding 20-30 dollars onto the cost of a handgun was a very welcome thing to the NPR staff, like that will make them safer as they hide under their beds in their gated and guarded communities.
The story of David & Goliath only demonstrates the superiority of ballistic projectiles over hand weapons, poor old Goliath never had a chance.

Wheel weights work fine for a #2 alloy when casting, or at least they used to.

I wouldn't worry about any hazmat license to buy lead, I think the commicrats will just cut off the ammo supply.  We will either be making our own, or taking it off the other guys.
