Well after several years of good use I noticed that I had a rear axle seal leaking on the differential. I checked the fluid and water came out before the gear oil. So it looks like I am going tohave to replace some seals and bearings. Has anybody done this themselves and if you did how hard was it to do. I will be picking up a service manual in the next couple of days if it is something that can be done without a huge selection of specialty tools. I appreciate any advise you guys may have. I am just glad I happened to notice the seal leaking before it started grinding.

I know this is late in reply, but how did it go? I did my '90 last summer (new rear differential, rear brakes, rear axle). It was all shot. Those seals don't hold up well on the Fourtraxes.
