DO NOT. i repeat DO NOT take it apart, it is the gun that shows up in a parts bag the most often at gun smiths to be reassembled.

breakdown how far?
Removing the barrel and bolt/hammer assembly isn't a big deal. I have done it regularly. Taking apart the trigger  I have not tried and have no reason to do.

If you go as far as barrel and bolt/assembly make sure you look at how they fit together when you take them out. The only thing I found a bit tricky is getting the hammer back across the release(/) it takes a bit of wriggling to do and I don't know how to describe it in words.

I had a gunsmith tell me you had to have a set of jiggs to put it together.

That would be my advice on it...they can be easy to take apart but the very Devil to put back together. Pulling the top receiver cover is different if you are just wanting to clean it. The two side bolts are it and the shroud that houses the rear sight will come off with the cover and will then allow access for a lot of cleaning. I have only had to do this a handfull of times in nearly forty years though.

The bolt handle just pulls out but if you do it too often then it will loosen up and evertually it will just fall out because the handle is just plastic and it will wear the "bump" down that holds it into the slot. Even though you can buy replacement handles very cheaply. As far as taking the whole gun apart and putting it back together again. It can be done because I have done it. You don't need special tools all you need is a schematic of the weapon and a breakdown of how to do it exactly. It was a pain to put back together though don't let me fool you there.

My S-I-L disassembled his N66 a couple of years ago and couldn't get it reassembled and called me to help.  I printed a schematic off of e-guns .com and I finally got it back together correctly.  If yours needs a good cleaning I recommend using gunblaster spray cleaner and a short snort of spray lube in the inner workings and leave it at that.  I will never ever tear one apart again.
