I have a Ruger No. 1V. Looks like it was made in 2001. It is new in the box, still in its packing grease, and still has the hang tag on it. The serial number printed on the box matches the serial number on the rifle. And printed on the box is "6mm Rem". But the stamp on the barrel clearly reads "6mm RBM" not "6mm REM." I also have a No. 1V in 25-06 and its barrel is stamped "25-06 REM."
Anybody ever seen this? Do I just have a factory misstamp?
