I used my GP-100 as a teaching gun, mostly for women and kids, so I put a Pachmayr Compac grip on it, probably the smallest grip you can get for it. I have fairly small hands but long fingers, so it was comfortable for me as well, and the kids and women with small hands loved it. It was also handy for concealed carry, since long barrels don't matter, but big butts do. A lot of the grips choices are tied to the size of your hands, plus how the gun will be carried. Most Hogue grips are too big for me, but can easily whittled down to a shape that fits better. I have been known to spend an afternoon on the front porch with a sanding block, assorted grades of sandpaper, and a pistol, and a few hours later I've removed everything that didn't fit my hand. Hard kickers are a lot more comfortable with soft rubber, but wooden grips that fit your hand very well can be a much better-looking solution. Another consideration is that if the gun is for CCW, clothing tends to stick and snag on the rubber grips, where it will glide right over a smooth wooden grip without printing.
Whatever you do, try before you buy. If your hand doesn't like it, you won't either, and your scores and groups will show it!
