I thought 2012 was hype
« on: November 05, 2008, 12:57:45 AM »
I thought that 2012 was a bunch of hype, like the millennium scare. With four years of our new leadership, it looks a lot more real :-\ Maybe not a comet, but a nuclear war that will end it all.
Great men have vision and resolve to make dreams come true.

Well to a Mayan a ICBM streaking through the sky would be best represented in thier minds as a comet!
99% of all Lawyers give the other 1% a bad name. What I find hilarious about this is they are such an arrogant bunch, that they all think they are in the 1%.

A friend was touring some Mayan Ruins last week on vacation. Its not hype. Their calendar stops at 2012. According to the guide, the resident Mayans believe it. They were way ahead of their times, hopefully they were wrong.

No actually Nostradamus predicted 2012 also as have numerous other prophets and seers over the last couple thousand years. A lot of folks for a long time have independantly picked that date having no knowledge of the other folks who had also predicted it.

With the way things are heading now I actually hope it is an accurate prediction.
