G2 Contender trigger pull
« on: November 09, 2008, 02:38:22 AM »
I got my new G2 Contender Friday.  Very fine!  However I'm a little dissapointed that TC does not put the overtravel screw on them anymore.  Also the trigger has a little creep in it just before it breaks.  Is there a home remedy for the "creep" in the trigger?

I can drill and tap the back of the trigger guard for an overtravel screw myself.  Any ideas?

There are (or were) several sites on the web that offer home remedy's for G2 triggers.  Most offer tools and spring kits that may or may not be needed.  They do have instructions that you can follow to smooth out your trigger.  That most likely is all you need.

Before that I would get a snap cap for your barrel and dry fire it a few hundred times and see if it isn't better.  Often that is all it takes.

Good luck.  I have four G2s among my Contenders and all have come with triggers that were acceptable to good.  I now prefer them to the original frames that I have.
