Which caliber for me?

I'm going to get a CVA Optimas Elite combo. My 1st choice was the .50/243 combo but now I wander if a 45 cal ML would be better. My hunting will mainly include medium sized whitetail, fox/coyote and turkey. I'll add a 223 barrel for varmint/target practice. My question is for turkey, is the 45 or 50 muzzleloader a better choice? I know nothing about muzzleloaders and the 50 sems rather larg for a turkey, so does a 45 for that matter. I live in ND and you have to use a shotgun,ML or bow during turkey season.

50cal.  You can always buy the 45cal later on.

Theres the cva forum and a guy just bought one and did 1 1/2" 3 shot group on his first outing with the optima elite. Excellent rifles.

The 50 really is much more versitile than the 45 IMO

There are about fifty million sabot/bullet combinations available for the .50, and only a half-million for the .45.

I was not aware you could use a muzzle loading rifle for turkeys you may want to check into that. IT's shotgun and bow only in NY

I checked yesterday and olny ML long guns, shotguns under 10g and bow are allowwed in ND. I was hoping to use my .17HM2 but not here
