Century International Arms WASR-3?
« on: November 11, 2008, 07:25:23 AM »
I'm thinking about a Century International Arms WASR-3. Does anyone have one or have any info? Would it be any good as a predator rifle?

Not a great choice, they have feeding issues due to available magazines. They also have weak hammer springs that would need to be replaced with a red star hammer. The stg-90 mags are the best that will fit, although some report failure to feed on them if loading more than 20 rnds in a 30. Bulgarian mags are reported to be flawless, but require mag well milling. In 223 Saiga, Arsenal or Bulgarian is the way to go. All 4 would give you roughly 2.5" groups. But the price is 2-$500 more. That would put you in AR price territory.
