Andy, you may want to stay up and get all the rats skinned tonight. Rats go green belly in a hurry, especially when the weather is this warm, they are not as tough as beaver.I even had a couple yesterday, and mine were all skinned within a couple hours of getting back. There is a good chance, your rats from yesterday, will all suffer from that malady.

Nice catch. Forty rats shouldn't take you to long. Get them done before the next forty show up.

Roll those rats in some sheets of newspaper as soon as you can on the line, and they'll be semi-dry when you get ready to skin. In a boat a milk crate is a good place to store them. On a walking line I use a hunting coat and roll them in newspaper and stick 'em in the game pocket. BTW... good catch, we used to have rats like that here.

Wow, that's a lot of animals.  I'm completely unfamilar with trapping and it sounds like you've got it down to an exact science.

This may be a dumb question, but what do you do with all those rats & beavers?  Skin & sell the pelts?  I'm just asking because I know nothing about trapping and by looking at the pictures I would consider you to be an expert.

Yep teddy i do skin & dry pelts and then ship them of nafa. I'm do not consered my self expert as i'm still learning how to trap, but I'am getting pretty good at rats. But i did learn from a expert

Thanks
