Intro & Info request
« on: November 15, 2008, 04:18:10 AM »
First I'm new to the forum, so hi everyone.
I've been an active shooter, caster and reloader for longer than I care to remember.
Started shooting at very young age.
Picked up reloading when I a teenager under adult supervision.

Anyway I was wondering if any of the members knew of a good place to buy military surplus rifles in the Oklahoma City area?
Any make and caliber.
Any help  would be appreciated.
I'm looking for a couple winter projects to help me stay sane while it's to cold for my arthritis outside.

Welcome Old Fart!  You sound qualified to hang around!

One quick question of course.....do you have your C&R license?  If you like to tinker/repair/restore/bubbafy or whatever I strongly suggest getting your C&R and taking a look at Century and the U'fix ems.

I have picked up MANY nice projects from them.  I did 10 M44's in various shape and salvaged 7 from the mix-max.  6 Yugo SKS (oops that was Aim), a couple nice M-48's from Century etc.  I even picked up 6 Star BM and made 4 pistols from 6 pieces of Scrap, 2 of them nice and 2 of them shooters.

I am in MN and have no clue where to find Milsurps in your neighborhood however.  Wish I could be of more help.  Get your C&R and I can mail you my projects I will be unable to complete!  For a few bucks of course......

Thank you for the C&R suggestion.
I sent off for the paperwork this past week.
I found the site you mentioned and it served as motivation.
