Small presentation cannon

I may have posted this before, but I never quite got to the bottom of what this presentation was all about.  I'm taking a long shot here thinking that these names would mean something to someone.  In my previous attempt,, I think I found a matching name in an article in New York Times for someone who was in the NY Nat. Guard.  Here's the article, Henry F. Liebenau was apparently chairman or acting chairman of the "Vosburgh Veterans" of the 71st. Regt., New York State Nat. Guard, in the 1894 article.  He's mentioned in the 2nd para. in right hand column.

Back to the little cannon, the text reads:  "Presented by "H.F. Liebenau to Benj. Robson"
