Taurus CS
« on: November 23, 2008, 04:01:34 AM »
I know I am not going to be going with the same old gripe-gripe but I lost a small piece from my Gaucho and it is a they replace only part. So I sent it to them as instructed and was surprised as I got a status reciept from them in the mail and when to expect my gun. Now I have a couple of guns at the local GS and he has the parts but I can bet it will be six months to a year before I get the guns and I will have to light a fire under him monthly or I will never see the guns again.

Yeah....  a lot of people have had their complaints,  but when I had a problem and sent one of my taurus' in, they took care of it within a perfectly reasonable amount of time.  I will still admit, some of their customer service agents don't know their @$$ from a firing pin.. but I got what I needed out of them.

I was happy with the receipt I got and didn't have to wonder about it, I had the tracking number and delivery
receipt from FedeX but it is nice to be updated. I keep all documentation on my guns, worked at a gun shop part time and I can't count the number of customers coming asking for a receipt on a fire arm due to loss or robbery, we had it but it was a hassle to go back through years of FFL slips.

Lets see sent the Gaucho in, got a reply that they had it, said it would be 5 to 6 weeks, got a call from FedeX yesterday, FedeX delivered today at noon, three weeks from shipping to fixing and return and it is fixed. What is the problem? Look at the H&R board some have been waiting months on there actions and barrels.
I must be one of the lucky one's and the Quality the Taurus Gaucho out shoots the Ruger I had by a lot and it doesn't have adjustable sights.
Well going pig hunting next week got a new 45 Colt Puma, and got my 45 Colt Taurus back good Christmas and it aint even time yet, Life is GOOD!!!!!

I've owned 8 or 9 Taurus handguns.  Two of them were sent in for repairs - a 357 Tracker and a PT745.  Both came back in about 3 weeks working well.  Taurus does not pay to ship the guns to them, but neither did Browning when my new Gold 3 1/2 did not function correctly.  Taurus is OK by me.  But to each, their own...
