finally got a hog with my 6.8 AR

have got a few deer with it, but no hogs in sight despite several trips out..

well, we had a succuesful hunt
I took my little guy, "super dave" with me

just before dark a sounder came in with about 8 or so smaller "meat" hogs, perfect, as that was what I was after
one shot to the head and it was down

of course, the best part was being with my little buddy

he has gone hunting a few times with me now..
he loves it of course
his older brother is 11 and has taken 3 deer but no hogs yet

we watched one big boar chase deer away from the corn.. that was cool to watch
it was a pay to hunt place just outside of Austin and the boar would have cost extra as it was deemed a "trophy" hog

very, very dense cedar trees and not much time to get on one
