Lucky dude!

I have never been picked to hunt there despite ALL of my times applying!
IF we're not supposed to eat animals,
how come God made 'em outta meat?

I couldn't decide between Ace and Beamer, but decided to go with Ace.   ;)

j/k it wasn't me but WOW what a lucky guy.  I would love to go in there with my 30-06.

Here is a link if you have not seen it for the hunt info:

I have drawn out there once in the last 23 years.  Was back in the mid 80's and I saw so many BIG BUCKS on the " scouting trip" the day before the hunt.  The white hats guys loved to spotlight the deer on the way back to camp..

Only shootable deer I saw during the hunt with bow in hand was about 100 yards away.  Kinda far for a recurve!

Wish I could be as fortunate as the guy who took the ACE of SPADES!

Great story and Good for Him!

Had a guy tell me once that if you shoot a doe you get to automaticaly come back the next year.  I don't think the draw is nearly as random as they would lead you to believe.  I put in a lot of times but never got pulled.  My friend that works there is great for info.  Tells me when the deer are starting to move, when their necks start to swell, and when they are in full rut and chasing everything they can.  I moved from McAlester earlier this year.  Went back and killed a 7 point during muzzle loader season.
