remington guide rifle vent rib

Has anyone removed the vent rib from one of these?

I know i fell in love with the rifle but that rib on a rifle is UGLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you talking about the recent 673 Guide Rifle or the old 660?

Don't own one, but have seen pics of 673s w/ the rib removed.  Looks much better, IMO.

I picked up a .350 RM 673 from GB that had already had the rib removed. The job was professional, and didn't leave a mark that I could see.

I don't miss the rib one bit.
