Hi Standard Model B

This Saturday there will be a Hi Standard model B at auction. The gun is advertised as a model HB, so I don't know what model it actually is. I will not be able to examine it until Sat. morn.

Are these desirable? For one in reasonable shape, what might be a reasonable price?

There will also be a model C 22 short gallery pistol. Anyone know about these?

A Model B came my way through the family and I am happy to have it.  Mine has 6" bbl., and fixed sights (rear can drift for windage).  It is plenty accurate even with cheap brick ammo from the big box store.  The grip size and angle might be a problem for someone with very large or beefy hands as you can see from the picture.  These pistols are all steel and the feed lips of the magazine must have been heat-treated as they look like color case hardening to my eye.  I know that some Model Bs had an exposed hammer and that might be what the "H" means.  I am not sure of that.  Mine does not have the external hammer.  And I know nothing of current prices/values.

Wyo, that's a beauty, I don't think any of the model bs had a hammer.  I bought mine in 1965 for$ 67.50 but now my guess would be at least $450 especially it the condition yours is in.  A great little lightweight .22.
