Trying a recipe from this site
« on: December 07, 2008, 10:11:07 AM »
It's been a slow season this year, on our land in Meigs all of the deer were taken early in Nov, none during gun season, usually we each get at least one if not more, nothing this year. This morning I went out to a farm outside of Tipp City, I am allowed to hunt on, just on a whim not expecting anything. 16 degrees 1/2 in of snow, no wind calm and sunny, busted 3 does up parking the car 50 yards from the house. On the way to a stand at the first gate saw 4 does and a 6pt in the pasture by a hay wagon at about 80yds. He turned sideways, the Knight 50 cal 100gr 777 and Hornady 260 gr SST ml knocked him down Bang Flop. I am trying a recipe tonight for the tenderloin I found on this site it sure sounds good.

It pays to know a hunting place that you can go to where there isn't much pressure like that farm! Nice going, and enjoy the dinners!
