I guess you could carry those in your pocket. I have carried a Cold Steel fixed blade in my pocket a few times while bird hunting. I generally just carry a folder.

Fixed bladed pocket knives have been around for a long time in one guise or another.  Up through the 1920's many companies offered "gentlemans" pocket knives  that were slender fixed blades and could be worn inside your suit coat in the inner pocket.  The distrust of folders has a long, honorable history ;D.  A small number of custom makers have offered small fixed blades with "pocket" sheaths over the years.  The TDI looks pretty mission specific to me; were I a cop I might consider one.

I've carried the little woodswalker, but I carried in the kydex neck sheath. It made for handy carry while fishing or general use.Though now it resides in the kitchen as a paring knife.
I really like to carry small fixed blade knives in a neck sheath.I have a bark river mini canadian I carry in a neck sheath also. Its my favorite way to carry a fixed blade.Being a wheelchair user limits the way I can carry a fixed blade. One of the horizontal carry kydex from Bob Dozier works very well also.

I've had the woodswalker for quite a few years, and hae been happy with it.

For the last two years, I've been using a Buck Hartsook that was given me, and it's been an eye opener. Extremly handy, so light you can forget its on you, and big enough that it does most of what a penknife would do in day to day real world use. I liked it so much, I bought another one just in case this one got lost and Buck had stopped making them. It's like having a sharp index finger.

It's been many years since I carried any folding pocket knife. The fixed blade makes so much more sense, no way the blade can fold over on you if a lock fails, no hidden areas to collect dirt or food debris. Easy for cold fingers as there is no "opening" needed.

For woods use or real cutting jobs, I have my old Buck 102 woodsman, so the little pocket unfolder is for pen knife type jobs.
Maximum minimalisim.

Not really a pocket knife but I started carrying a Klein stripping knife in a small belt sheath for work  Found it so much more convenient than digging for a pocket knife I wear it all the time now

My favorite everyday fixed blade is a small knife made by David Farmer called the companion.  I live out in the country and it seems I'm always reaching for a knife. A small fixed blade whether carried on your neck, belt or pocket is just so much easier to access than most(not all) folders.  Strangely enough, David carries one of mine ;)
