This hAs to be RARE!!??
« on: November 28, 2008, 08:34:02 AM »
I PICKED THIS UP AT AN ESTATE SALE SOMETIME AGO AND NOW I'M KIND OF CURIOUS AS TO IT'S VALUE-AFTER SEARCHING ON THE INTERNET I'VE COME UP WITH 0 RESULTS FOR THIS TYPE OF RIFLE I HAVE:
It's a "CROSMAN" 22cal. sgl.shot bolt action rifle - It has a wood stock and brass barrel - MODEL #: 114  247544
this isn't a pellet gun nor an air gun.....On the side of the barrel it says " CROSMAN "22"  on one side.....and......CROSMAN Arms Co., Inc. Rochester, NY USA  on the other side.
CAN ANYONE GIVE ME AN IDEA AS TO THE YEAR OF THIS RIFLE, THE RARITY AND/OR PERHAPS THE APPROX. VALUE OF THIS GUN, PLZ.?????

The Crosman 114 is an air rifle. It is filled with bulk co2. It used to come with a refillable tank, kinda like modern paintball tanks. You simply screwed it on, opened the valve, filled it with co2, closed the valve, took off  the tank, and shot until out of air. Bryan and Assoc. currently has one listed in excellent condition, for $135. Not to burst your bubble, but I don't think they are all that rare. It shoots 22 caliber pellets. Hope this helps, Billy

I learned to shoot using a Crosman 22 caliber pellet gun. It had the brass like you describe. It had a lager cocking knob at the rear of the receiver then you could pupm the forearm.
That gun was deadly on pigeons in the barn.

Here is a link to one like I used to shoot
