Adler .22

A friend who knows little about firearms was all happy to show me an Adler .22 he had bought.  It has a sort of assault rifle look with a bannana clip.  It looks like a lot of plastic an more like a kid's toy gun to me.  I think it was made in Italy.  Anyone know anything about this rifle?

probably an AP70. they were imported by Mitchell Arms several years ago.
Not the highest quality but they looked kinda' cool and were pretty reliable.
There was a 22 mag version also I think.
