Supply a few details and someone will no doubt have some info for you. I don't have a Savage 2506 but do have several Savages in other calibers (all good shooters for me). I do have a 2506 in Rem 700 and it likes certain Rem loads and just will not shoot others. For my particular 2506, Rem factory and handloaded 100 grain and 87 grain loads give me the best accuracy whereas 120 grain Rem factory loads tend to give me a pattern. To be honest I've never tried other factory loads besides Rem and probably won't since I started handloading. I'm more than happy with the results I'm getting with 100 grain handloads which work fine for deer but when I get the time I'll start looking to see if I can work up a 120 grain load more because I can than anything else.

Upshot is that you'll need to try different fodder and find what your gun likes best. Don't overlook scope mounting, more than one ammo problem has turned out to be related to a problem in scope mounting. I've also bought an older used Savage that sprayed patterns and once I checked the free floating and did some light sanding, it turned out to be a fine shooting gun.

A friend has the 111 package rifle.  It shoots very well with 3/4" - 1" three shot groups at 100 yards being the norm.  I believe he's fired Winchester Super X, Remington Core Loct and Federal Power Shok ammo.  Federal seems to work best.

The only issue he had was a blown primer from a Federal round.  The damage to the rifle was limited to the loss of the extractor spring.  The rifle was examined by a gunsmith and found to be ok.  Federal picked up the tab.
