What size scope rings for OE
« on: November 28, 2008, 09:26:25 AM »
I just bought the Durasight bases and installed them yesterday (1 for ML and 1 for .243 barrel).  What size and brand scope rings do I need so that I can mount a 4-14X40mm on both barrels?  Links to websites will be really helpful since I'll be purchasing them online.

Thanks for the help!

I use medium Burris Signature Zees on the DS102B base, they allow room for a 40mm AO, they're .270" from the top of the base to the bottom of the scope tube.

I've found this to be a slow moving forum for CVA's. I'm still scraping up my funds for my Elite but from my experience you have to measure your bell diameter then use this chart to see what fits. Also depends on your scopes power/focus ring size  so it clears the hammer.

Heres a chart to calculate the accual diameter

There was a chart that gave all brands different ring heights but I haven't seen it for a while. It was either Midway, Natcheszz or Midsouth or somewhere. If I find it I'll post. Just remember that medium hieght for one company may be different for the next.
