Change of animal, hog time
« on: December 28, 2008, 05:57:38 PM »
A few friends and I have a lease on the Plateau which is a very cheap place for a lease!! We don't have too many deer and it is in Unit B so.... I don't have much interest in deer hunting there. Hogs are open from end of deer season till bow season in September. Well, hogs are open all year, just have to use appropriate deer weapon during deer season. Went up there all day today and finally at about 4.45 saw this boar approaching. He dressed out to 125lbs and should be a nice alternative to the venison in the freezer.

Maximus, I sent you a PM about a month back. You are close to our lease, more than happy to take you out there sometime. There are 100's of hogs up in there. Driving out at about 6pm we came across a group of 5 of them standing in the road. If we were allowed to use lights in TN to hunt hogs at night, things would be a lot better. Same deal for coyotes too.
