bought another old military gun

This time it was a Lee Enfield. At the moment, I am collecting guns that have something that could have been a good idea, but didn't make much of a difference. (Examples: Carcano (gain twist rifling), Nagant revolver (No cylinder gap). The Lee Enfield is a bolt rifle with a two piece stock.
I suddenly realized that I could move to another collection: guns of major allies and enemies in the world wars and Viet Nam. I just need a Ariska and a French rifle of some sort.
I am avoiding US guns since they are too pricey for me.

Getting the C&R FFL was a mistake. I have got to stop collecting these things.

Getting your C&RFFL is a good thing..... :o

While some just collect one style gun like bolt action or semi auto's ect.  I found myself going after mausers at first until i found out there are over 1,000 different mausers.  That would be impossible to collect all of them.  So i went after a few different ones at first.  Until the surplus bug really bit me.  Heck i like everything that goes bang now.

I'm with you on the american made stuff is too pricey.  I have no american made stuff because of that.

Its time to get the mosins now too while there still affordable and available too?  While the two piece stocks are ok get the rest while you can too.  I got into this too late and missed most of the affordable buys on the swede mausers but its better late than never i guess.

I just purchased all my military calibers in the LEE Dies too just incase the ammo prices get too high. Plan ahead now.

All i can say is surplus guns are cool. They all have a different story. Seems ridiculous that american mil surp is so pricey. Can't understand this really a pisser though.C&R= best 30 dollars ever spent

My wife isn't digging the C&R. 

My arguement is that $100 for a rifle is better than $400 for a rifle.  Also, for an entry rifle you get:  unpolished metal with "matte finish", my Mosin has that.....poor stock to metal fitting, my Mosin has that....etc.  But, for $100.

Now to get my Mauser. 

Back to the original post, I have an Ishapore Enfield 2A and it fascinates me.  It goes to the range every trip.  I love it.  It doesn't shoot very well right now.....but I am working on it.  I just love the way the bolt springs open and the way that it points.  L-O-V-E I-T
