I bought 5 bags from Gardner last Spring before the move.  I don't know if they still have them.

Just do an internet search "H&R primer carriers" There are lots of them out there.
I bought two packs from Ebay and they were the least expensive.

I was just at Williams Gunsite in Michigan and they had several packs on the wall. I'm sure there are a lot of them available. Have you called NEF direct?  I bought some from them a couple years ago as well as the scope base and hammer extension kit.

I just bid on the one pack on ebay but every online source I have found have all been on backorder. I guess I will have to call NEF directly.

I guess I'm going to have to spring for a 25 acp breech plug if I'm going to keep my Sidekick.  I hate the NEF & Knight disposable plastic primer holders.  I figured it wouldn't be long once NEF quit making the guns that you wouldn't be able to find the carriers.

I thought the plastic jackets were reusable?

Doesn't NEF make a straight 209 primer breech plug, without using the plastic jackets?

they are surely reusable. There was a thread on here some time ago a guy used them about a dozen times. I have lost track of how many times I have reused mine now. If it looks beat up I toss it, but so far so good.

There's usually a couple of sellers on EBAY that have them.  I haven't looked lately, though.

I'm sure this is going to be a problem soon, unless Remington still plans on making them available. Sure would be nice if someone would just market a carrierless plug for the H&R/NEF, I think they would sell VERY well.

If I'd kept mine, I'd have ordered one of these while they are still making them.

I have the 25ACP breehplug and my Sidekick shoots well with it and Triple 7 but it is still a filthy mess after 2 shots. I don't shoot it much so it isn't a real big deal, but I really don't like the maintenance a muzzleloader requires but it does extend my hunting season. I wish I could switch to Blackhorn 209 but as far as I can tell the breech doesn't seal well enough to use it, so getting a 209 plug made is probably not a prudent thing to do.

Anyone know if any other inexpensive muzzleloader would be able to shoot Blackhorn 209?
